Kirkuk: The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced that F16 fighter jets targeted terrorist hideouts in the Dibis district of Kirkuk. The strike, which took place on Saturday, was part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorist activities in the region.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the operation was executed with meticulous planning and coordination, involving the Targeting Cell of the Joint Ops Command. The airstrikes were the culmination of continuous intelligence monitoring over five consecutive days. Iraqi F16 pilots executed precise airstrikes on hideouts and caches of terrorist groups located in the area between the central government and the Kurdistan Region.

The SMC statement highlighted the operation’s reliance on accurate intelligence information provided by the Iraqi National Intelligence Service. The successful execution of the airstrikes was also attributed to the cooperation with the Counterterrorism Service, underscoring the collaborative effort to enhance security and stability in the region.
