Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, engaged in discussions today with Uday Al-Issawi, the head of the Iraqi Teachers Syndicate, focusing on potential amendments to the Teachers Syndicate Law. The meeting, attended by several members of the House of Representatives, aimed to align the law with the current educational developments and the expansion within the sector, while also enhancing the syndicate’s role in organizing union and educational activities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faihan highlighted the importance of the Teachers’ Syndicate Law as a key legislative tool for regulating union and educational work. He reiterated the Parliament’s dedication to amending the law to fulfill the expectations of the educational and teaching staff. Faihan also noted that the proposed changes would be placed on the agenda of forthcoming parliamentary sessions, setting the stage for the necessary legislative processes needed for the law’s enactment.
