Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Atroushi congratulated President Masoud Barzani, his deputies, and the members and cadres of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on its 80th anniversary.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Atroushi issued a statement in which he extended his warmest congratulations to President Masoud Barzani, his deputies, the members of the Political Bureau and the Central Committee, and all the cadres and supporters of the KDP on this significant milestone. The anniversary, which falls on August 16, 1946, coincides with Masoud Barzani’s birthday. Atroushi expressed wishes for continued health and well-being for Barzani, as well as ongoing success for the party and its leadership in serving the people of Kurdistan.

Atroushi also took the opportunity to commemorate the party’s founder, the late leader Mulla Mustafa Barzani, along with the fighters who made sacrifices for the liberation movement of the people of Kurdistan against oppressive regimes. He expressed pride and
reverence for their contributions to the party’s history.

Furthermore, Atroushi expressed hopes for the Democratic Party’s continued success and progress. He emphasized the importance of the party’s historical journey in collaboration with political forces and national parties to preserve constitutional gains, protect the rights of all communities, and enhance stability and prosperity in the region. Additionally, he highlighted the aim of achieving justice and sustainable development through these efforts.
