Federal Court: We Will Not Interfere in Political Conflicts Concerning in the Upcoming Elections


Baghdad: The Federal Supreme Court confirmed that it does not interfere in the political conflicts in the upcoming elections, indicating that its role regarding the upcoming general elections for membership in the House of Representatives is in accordance with what the Constitution stipulated in Article (93/Seventh).



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Federal Supreme Court emphasized its commitment to maintaining impartiality and adhering strictly to the constitutional provisions. The court clarified that its jurisdiction is limited to what is explicitly outlined in the Constitution, underscoring its non-involvement in the political aspects of the electoral process.



The court’s announcement comes amid a politically charged atmosphere as the country prepares for its general elections. By reinforcing its constitutional role, the Federal Supreme Court aims to ensure a fair and unbiased election process, leaving political disputes to be resolved through the appropriate channels and bodies designated for such matters.
