### Federal Police Arrest 12, Seize Unlicensed Weapons in Baghdad

BAGHDAD: The Federal Police forces have apprehended 12 suspects and confiscated unlicensed weapons in various districts of Baghdad, as part of ongoing security operations. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior reported that a coordinated effort by the Federal Police and intelligence units led to the arrests. The suspects were detained under various legal provisions, including theft, possession of weapons, execution, quarreling, threatening, and random shooting. The operations took place in several areas, including Sadr City, Jamila, Kamira, Umm al-Kubar and al-Ghazlan, al-Shaab, al-Habibiya, Diyala Bridge, al-Fadhiliya, and al-Wahda District. Among the seized items were a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol, two ammunition stores, and eight bullets. The Ministry further detailed that regional inspection operations aimed at curbing the possession of unlicensed weapons were conducted in Al-Kufa neighborhood and Al-Ikhtisafat. These inspections resulted in the seizure of three additional pi stols. The accused individuals, along with the confiscated items, have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
