Baghdad: Federal Police Command forces have successfully apprehended a suspect found with prohibited items and two other individuals involved in forgery-related crimes in areas north of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Federal Police Command issued a statement detailing the operation. A coordinated effort between the Federal Police and associated security services led to the arrest of a wanted suspect, acting under a judicial warrant. The operation encountered resistance when the suspect opened fire on the officers. The suspect was injured in the ensuing exchange and was subsequently taken to the hospital. Upon his arrest, authorities discovered he was in possession of prohibited materials and a pistol.

The statement further revealed that two additional suspects were detained for forgery in the Hay al-Khadhra and Sabaa al-Bour areas. These individuals have been handed over to competent authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
