Baghdad – In a recent operation, Federal Police forces in Baghdad successfully seized a number of unlicensed weapons. This operation is part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety and security in the Iraqi capital.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, The Ministry of Interior, in its statement, detailed the activities of the First Division Federal Police units. These units conducted inspections in various areas of the Rusafa side of Baghdad, including Nahrawan, Al-Zafaraniyah, Al-Fadhiliya, Al-Kamaliyya, and Al-Mada'in. The operation resulted in the discovery of 10 rifles of various types, 2 pistols, 13 magazines, 210 rounds of Kalashnikov rifle ammunition, 3 grenades, and additional materials. These efforts are aligned with the larger security strategy of the Federal Police to restrict weapons solely to state control, thereby ensuring the security and safety of citizens in Baghdad and beyond.
