Baghdad, The Federal Police forces carried out searches, during which they seized a number of weapons and an amount of unlicensed ammunition in Baghdad.
A statement by the Federal Police Command stated: “A force from the First Division, backed by the intelligence effort, carried out an inspection operation in (Al-Nahrawan-Al-Khansa) area, which resulted in the seizure of 4 different rifles, a pistol, two rocket launchers, and two 120-mm mortar rounds.”
He added, “a force from the Federal Police Mechanized Division, along with a detachment of intelligence, carried out a search operation in the (Queirish) area in Baghdad, which resulted in the seizure of two assault bombs, a Kalashnikov rifle, two pistols, and 110 rounds of different types of weapons.”
