Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aati, efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and the ceasefire negotiations in the Strip. Sources at the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the two ministers discussed, in a phone call today, efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to address the famine caused by Israel in Gaza, and the ceasefire negotiations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Israel withdrew last week from indirect negotiations with Hamas in Doha due to Tel Aviv’s intransigence regarding the withdrawal from Gaza, ending the war, the return of Palestinian prisoners, and the mechanism for distributing humanitarian aid. Since the start of its genocide on October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing a parallel crime of starvation against the Palestinians of Gaza. It tightened its measures on March 2nd, closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing famine to spread and reaching “catastrophic” levels.
