Fidan and Bin Farhan Chair Second Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council Meeting

Riyadh: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan chaired the second meeting of the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council in Riyadh on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting aimed at strengthening the cooperation and consultation mechanism established in 2016. This council, led by the foreign ministers of both nations, focuses on maintaining and enhancing bilateral relations through a structured institutional framework covering all aspects of cooperation.

The inaugural meeting of the council took place on February 7-8, 2017, in Ankara, Turkey. The council includes five subcommittees, with participation from relevant authorities of both countries. These subcommittees are: the Diplomacy and Politics Committee; the Military and Security Affairs Committee; the Culture, Sports, Media and Tourism Committee; the Social, Health and Education Development Committee; and the Trade, Industry, Investment, Infrastructure and Energy Committee.
