Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, the latest efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this came during a phone call between the two ministers on Wednesday. Diplomatic sources did not disclose further information about the conversation between the two ministers.

The Russian Foreign Minister announced today that the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will be held in Istanbul next Monday, June 2. It is noteworthy that Istanbul hosted peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on May 15 and 16, which concluded with an agreement to exchange 2,000 prisoners between the two countries.
