Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in a television interview last night that Syria’s stability and security are a priority for Turkish national security. He emphasized that Turkey believes no group should possess weapons in Syria except the state.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fidan highlighted that Israel has been preventing the Syrian government from intervening in the conflict between the Druze and the Bedouins. He noted that the United States plays a constructive role when Israel is not involved in the situation.

Addressing the issue of terrorism, Fidan declared that Turkey is not willing to waste more time, emphasizing his country’s readiness for all scenarios. He urged the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to adhere to the agreement and disarm.

Fidan also commented on the ongoing ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel, indicating that there is currently a stalemate in the discussions concerning the Gaza Strip.
