Baghdad: Finance Minister Faleh Sari directed on Saturday that work continue on preparing the draft budget based on accurate and realistic foundations. A ministry statement indicated that “Finance Minister Faleh Sari discussed with the Budget Department team the stages of preparing the program and performance budget, and the stages of completing its technical and administrative requirements.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister reviewed the work completed by the teams during the project preparation stages, highlighting the most prominent steps being implemented, and the observations and suggestions raised in this regard. The minister directed the continuation of work, intensification of efforts, and strengthening coordination with ministries, governorates, and government institutions, to contribute to preparing the draft budget based on accurate and realistic foundations.
