BEBNIN: A fire erupted in a camp housing displaced Syrians in Bebnin, a town in the Akkar province of Lebanon, causing significant material damage as part of the camp was engulfed in flames. Swift action by civil defense teams helped contain the fire, preventing further devastation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the cause of the fire remains unknown. A video circulating online depicted intense flames and thick smoke billowing into the sky, highlighting the urgency of the situation. Lebanese media reported that the fire, which originated in the Al-Sabsi neighborhood of Bebnin, resulted in the destruction of several tents, though there were no reports of injuries.

In a related incident, civil defense teams and local residents managed to extinguish a separate fire that broke out in a solar panel shop on the highway of Al-Muhammara, near the entrance to the Nahr al-Bared camp. The swift response from both civil defense teams and the community was instrumental in preventing the fire from spreading further, thereby averting additional damage.
