Baquba: A fire erupted in a decorations and kitchens showroom located on the outskirts of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate, engulfing parts of the showroom and a nearby popular restaurant.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the blaze occurred at the Al-Quds intersection, where Civil Defense teams worked diligently to contain the spread. The fire consumed large areas of the showroom and affected sections of the adjacent restaurant.

The Civil Defense source revealed that two teams swiftly responded to the emergency, aiming to extinguish the flames and reduce damage. Preliminary investigations indicate that an electrical short circuit could have been the cause of the fire. There were no reported casualties in the incident.
