Babylon: A large fire destroyed laboratories belonging to the College of Engineering at the University of Babylon on Sunday, with no injuries reported.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Civil Defense Media Director Aqeel Abdullah stated, "A large fire engulfed laboratories belonging to the College of Engineering at the University of Babylon on Sunday, leading to their destruction before Civil Defense teams were able to extinguish it."

He added that the police have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
