Tambov: A drone crash resulted in a fire at an oil depot in Russia's Tambov region early Wednesday morning, as reported by local authorities. The incident marked a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Tambov region's governor, Yevgeny Pervyshov, announced on Telegram that the fire was triggered when a Ukrainian drone crashed at the depot. Firefighters and security personnel were immediately dispatched to the site to manage the situation.

In a related incident, the neighboring Voronezh region experienced minor damage due to drone debris affecting several fuel tanks. However, Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed that no fires broke out as a result. Gusev reported that air defense forces successfully detected and destroyed four drones over Voronezh city and two districts in the region.

The Russian Defense Ministry has stated that Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed a total of 102 Ukrainian drones overnight. This significant defense action underscores the heightened state of alert in the region.

Furthermore, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency has implemented temporary restrictions on air traffic at several airports across the North Caucasus and the Volga River region, reflecting the broader impact of the drone activities.
