Baghdad: A fire broke out in a cardboard factory in the Shatt al-Arab district of Basra. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense Directorate stated in a press release that firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, resulting in no casualties and only material damage.

The statement further revealed that the factory lacked safety and prevention requirements and was in violation of Civil Defense Law No. 44 of 2013.
