BAGHDAD: A fire has erupted in the internal bodybuilding hall of the Electrical Industries Club, causing substantial material damage but no reported injuries. The incident, attributed to an electrical short circuit, affected part of the club’s headquarters.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the club released a statement confirming the incident, which resulted in significant material damage while fortunately sparing any human injuries. The statement also noted the swift response from Civil Defense teams, who successfully extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to other sections of the club’s premises.

The Electrical Industries Club is currently assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire. Civil Defense authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the precise cause of the electrical short circuit that led to the outbreak.
