Basra: The Civil Defense Directorate teams in Basra extinguished a major fire that broke out in a juice factory in the Hamdan Industrial Area today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, six firefighting teams and 12 fire trucks, under the field supervision of the Director of Civil Defense in the province, managed to extinguish the fire that erupted in a warehouse inside the juice factory, successfully controlling the flames. The incident resulted in material damage, but no human losses were reported.

The media statement from the Directorate also indicated that the factory had been closed ten days ago for violating Civil Defense Law 44 of 2013, as it was constructed of blocks and ginko.
