Basra: Civil Defense teams in Basra successfully extinguished a fire that erupted in an orchard located north of the city. The incident occurred yesterday evening, prompting a swift response from the firefighting units.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate’s media reported that the firefighting teams managed to control the blaze with the help of six fire engines, which included both support and specialized units. The fire had broken out in an orchard that contained palm trees and dry weeds in the Al-Sadiq District, specifically in the Al-Salem area. The timely intervention of the Civil Defense teams prevented the fire from spreading to nearby orchards and residential buildings.

No human casualties were reported in the incident, highlighting the effectiveness of the response by the Basra Civil Defense teams. The quick containment measures ensured the safety of the surrounding areas, averting further damage.
