Hillah: Five employees of the Babil Electricity Distribution Directorate were injured after being assaulted by citizens while removing illegal connections in the Al-Tiniya area of Hillah city on Monday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ahmed Burhan, the director of media for the Babil Electricity Directorate, stated that the directorate has taken the necessary legal measures against the citizens who attacked the employees during the operation.

The injured employees were transferred to Hillah Surgical Hospital for treatment.
