Maysan: The Military Intelligence Agency announced today, Sunday, the arrest of five drug dealers and traffickers in Maysan Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Agency’s media stated, “As part of the ongoing efforts of the Military Intelligence Directorate to combat the scourge of drugs and protect society from its dangers, the directorate’s detachments in the Intelligence and Security Division of the 22nd Commando Division were able to arrest five drug dealers and traffickers in Maysan Governorate. Arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Articles 28 and 32 of the Narcotics Law.”

The statement added, “The operation came after careful monitoring of the suspects’ movements, resulting in their arrest and referral to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.”
