Flights Between Iran and Iraq Set to Resume Tomorrow


Tehran:Flights between Iran and Iraq are scheduled to resume on Sunday, as announced by the Head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, Abuzar Shiroudi.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shiroudi stated that both Iraqi and Iranian airlines will operate the flights between the two countries.



Morteza Aghaei, the Deputy Head of the Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Holy Shrines Affairs, mentioned that agreements have been reached to reopen airspace for Najaf Al-Ashraf, with flights expected to start shortly.



He further explained that the preliminary agreements to resume flights to Najaf Al-Ashraf were achieved through the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iranian Embassy in Iraq. The Civil Aviation Organization is currently working to secure necessary operational permits and finalize flight schedules.
