Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, received US Charg© d’Affaires in Baghdad, Stephen Fagin, for a comprehensive discussion on various pivotal topics.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, with a specific emphasis on the involvement of US oil companies operating within Iraq. The discussion extended to outstanding issues faced by oil companies in the Kurdistan Region and explored potential solutions to facilitate the resumption of oil exports from the region’s oil fields.

The conversation also covered developments in the regional situation, where Fagin presented the US government’s stance on recent events in the Middle East.
