Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, engaged in discussions with US Senator Jacky Rosen, focusing on strengthening Iraqi-American relations and addressing regional challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting highlighted military and security cooperation between Iraq and the United States, emphasizing the ongoing fight against terrorism and the remnants of ISIS. Both parties acknowledged the significance of sustained collaboration in these domains.

The dialogue also covered the electoral process developments in Iraq, underscoring the importance of advancing the democratic experience and fostering interaction between Iraqi democratic values and those of other democratic nations. Security challenges in the region and crisis management strategies were also on the agenda, with both sides stressing the need for continued US support for Iraq.

Additionally, the meeting included discussions on the Tehran-Washington negotiations, exchanging views on disagreements and agreements, and the necessity of reaching understandings that promote regional security and stability. The meeting was attended by Consul General Stephen Bittner and senior advisors Liz Leibowitz and Robert Wisanen.
