Antalya: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed with his Venezuelan counterpart strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. The Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ivan Gil Pinto, during the Antalya Diplomatic Forum (ADF2025) in the Turkish province of Antalya.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing relations between Iraq and Venezuela, particularly in energy, trade, and investment, building on the historical ties that unite the two nations within OPEC. Both ministers emphasized the importance of joint coordination to stabilize global oil markets, benefiting both producing and consuming countries.

Fuad Hussein highlighted Iraq’s eagerness to expand cooperation with Venezuela, especially in oil companies and promising economic sectors. He underscored the importance of strengthening partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.

Ivan Gil Pinto reiterated Venezuela’s dedication to bolstering bilateral dialogue and extended an official invitation to Fuad Hussein to visit Caracas. He welcomed a visit to the Venezuelan capital at the earliest opportunity to continue discussions on joint cooperation prospects.

The meeting also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest, including efforts to stabilize the Middle East and Latin America. Both sides stressed the importance of political solutions to crises and the respect for state sovereignty.
