PRAGUE: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and prevent the conflict from spreading to neighboring nations. This statement was made during a joint press conference held with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky in Prague.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Hussein highlighted the need for both countries to align their positions and support each other in international organizational nominations. He conveyed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for its ongoing support to Iraq across multiple sectors.
Minister Hussein further noted Iraq’s interest in leveraging the expertise of Czech companies, particularly in clean energy and water management, as well as in addressing the impacts of climate change. He underscored the challenges Iraq faces due to drought conditions and the potential benefits of Czech technological knowledge in mitigating these issues.
