Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, received the US Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, Stephen Fagin, last night.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the two officials focused on the state of bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, emphasizing the involvement of US oil companies in Iraq. Discussions included unresolved issues concerning oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region and strategies to facilitate the resumption of oil exports from the region’s oil fields.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the current regional situation, with Chargé d’Affaires Fagin providing insights into the US government’s stance on developments in the Middle East.
