Foreign Minister Arrives in Ankara to Discuss Water Issues and Enhance Bilateral Cooperation


Ankara: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, today, leading an official Iraqi delegation on a visit to attend the joint meeting between Iraq and Turkey concerning water issues.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hussein heads the Iraqi delegation, which includes Minister of Water Resources Awn Dhiab Abdullah, and a specialized team from the Ministries of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Environment, along with experts from the Kurdistan Region. The delegation’s focus is on technical discussions related to water resources management and the regulation of their use to serve the common interests of both nations.



Fouad Hussein is also expected to engage with several Turkish officials to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations across various fields, with a particular emphasis on fostering economic, security, and political cooperation between Iraq and Turkey.
