Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed on Friday that Iraq’s support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights is unwavering.
According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that “Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Iraq, Samar Awadallah, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Baghdad.”
The meeting focused on the fraternal relations between Iraq and Palestine and explored ways to strengthen them. Discussions also covered developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as the suffering of the Palestinian people due to ongoing events.
The Minister affirmed “Iraq’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, and its support for the Palestinian Authority.” He also emphasized support for efforts aimed at providing care and assistance to wounded Palestinians. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its support for “the Ambassador’s work and facilitating her duties in Iraq, which contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing coordination between the two countries.”
