Foreign Minister Calls For Achieving Integration And Cooperation Between The Executive And Legislative Branches

– Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein called for the importance of achieving integration and fruitful and constructive cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities for the interest of the Iraqi people.

In his hosting in the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, in the presence of the advanced cadre in the ministry, he gave a full explanation of several files. The minister also talked about the outcomes of the strategic dialogue rounds with Washington, and touched upon the ministry’s policy within the directions of the government program, and the national constants of Iraq.

Hussein reviewed: the premises and priorities of foreign policy at this stage, which is based on balance and achieving common interests, stressing that the ministry aims to establish and deepen Iraqi relations on the basis of common interests and common risks.

He stressed: the need for complementary work, the formulation of national diplomatic performance, and continuous consultation between the executive and legislative authorities in a way that contributes to strengthening Iraq’s relations.

In the internal affairs, Hussein revealed: The ministry has made efforts towards improving its reality more, indicating: the ministry has doubled its efforts with the aim of reform, preparing high-level diplomatic cadres, and working to unify mechanisms to support the Iraqi community, and follow up on their needs.

He pointed out the continuation of efforts to develop the consular work to contribute to providing services to citizens at home and abroad.
