Washington: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein underscored the importance of simplifying and enhancing the quality of consular services for the Iraqi community residing in the United States. The emphasis was made during his visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, where he met with Iraqi Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah and embassy staff.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister's visit aimed to monitor diplomatic progress and strengthen Iraq-U.S. relations, aligning with his discussions with American officials during his ongoing visit to Washington. Fuad Hussein's meeting with the embassy staff highlighted strategies to advance the strategic partnership between Iraq and the United States, focusing on political, security, and economic sectors as outlined in the Strategic Framework Agreement.

The meeting also addressed preparations for the forthcoming session of the Joint High Committee between the two nations, which is set to deliberate on various cooperative areas.
