Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein engaged in discussions with Joshua Harris, the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, focusing on bilateral relations and the electoral process in Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting the trajectory of bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States. This discussion comes in the context of the upcoming appointment of President Donald Trump’s new envoy to Iraq, who is expected to assume responsibilities soon.
The meeting also addressed the recent electoral process in Iraq, which was successfully completed. Joshua Harris extended his congratulations to the Minister on the smooth and safe conclusion of the elections.
Additionally, the dialogue included an exchange on regional issues and related developments, as well as discussions on several files of mutual interest.
