Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein engaged in discussions with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved a comprehensive dialogue on enhancing cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom. The discussions also covered Minister Fuad Hussein’s forthcoming visit to London, which is anticipated to further consolidate diplomatic ties.

The Foreign Ministry’s statement highlighted that the meeting also delved into developments within Iraq, particularly the recent targeting of oil fields in the Kurdistan Region. The conversation included an assessment of the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government. Both parties acknowledged and welcomed the positive progress made in resolving existing differences.
