Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Affirms Iraq’s Commitment to Strengthening Ties with Austria

Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed on Monday Iraq's commitment to further strengthening its relations with the Republic of Austria. Hussein received the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Iraq, Andreas Nasi, at the Ministry building on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Iraq, the Ministry stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the Austrian Ambassador's efforts during his tenure, praising his role in strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Republic of Austria and in developing frameworks for cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

Hussein emphasized that Iraq is committed to continuing to strengthen its relations with Austria in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries. He also expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Andreas Nasi for success in his future endeavors.

In response, the Austrian ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support and cooperation he received during his time in Iraq. He stressed his pride in the relations between the two countries and commended the efforts made by the Iraqi government to achieve development and enhance stability in various sectors.
