Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed the latest developments in Syria and the regional situation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Kaya Kallas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement indicating that Minister Fuad Hussein received a phone call from Kallas. During the call, they discussed relations between Iraq and the European Union and explored ways to enhance joint cooperation in multiple areas of mutual interest.

The statement further detailed that both parties exchanged views on the developments in Syria, focusing on the understandings and agreements that have been reached, as well as examining the reasons behind the clashes that have occurred in certain areas.
