Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Highlights Strengthening Ties with Libya


Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed the commitment to developing bilateral relations with Libya. Speaking at a press conference with his Libyan counterpart, Taher Baour, Hussein emphasized the importance of exchanging security expertise and information with Libya concerning terrorist groups.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hussein mentioned that discussions also covered regional developments and revealed that the issue of Iraqi properties in Libya had been resolved. He announced that the Libyan Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Ali al-Zidi, with several memoranda of understanding expected to be signed the following day.



The Libyan minister, Taher Baour, expressed the need for cooperation and communication with Iraq across various fields, highlighting Iraq’s extensive experience in combating terrorism as a valuable asset.
