Foreign Minister Highlights Strengthened Iraq-Finland Relations as Finnish Ambassador Concludes Her Mission


Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein met today with the Finnish Ambassador to Iraq, Anu Saarela, on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in the country. During the meeting in his office today, the Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Ambassador Saarela during her tenure and her effective contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Finland, particularly in the areas of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. He also praised the positive role she played in supporting dialogue and understanding between the two countries.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ambassador Saarela expressed her gratitude for the support she received from the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during her tenure, praising the cooperation and keenness to develop relations between the two countries, stressing that Iraq will continue to hold a special place in her heart.



At the end of the meeting, the Minister wished the Ambassador success in her future missions, expressing his hope for continued communication and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
