Baghdad:Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein engaged in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss bilateral relations and explore ways to enhance joint cooperation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conversation included discussions about the upcoming meeting of foreign ministers from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, which is scheduled to take place in Baghdad next week.

The ministers also addressed regional developments, stressing the significance of resuming negotiations to help contain tensions and enhance regional security and stability.
