Baghdad: The Foreign Ministers of Qatar and Yemen arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday evening to participate in the preparatory meeting for the Arab Summit.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, along with the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Shaye’ Al-Zindani, at Baghdad International Airport. Their arrival marks the beginning of preparations for the ministerial meeting of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers, part of the 34th regular session of the Arab Summit hosted by Baghdad.

The Undersecretary expressed Iraq’s appreciation for their presence and active participation, underlining the significance of their involvement in supporting joint Arab action. He highlighted the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination among Arab countries to address current challenges and promote stability and cooperation in the region.

These meetings are part of the broader preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad on May 17. The summit aims to strengthen Arab solidarity and unify positions on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
