Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi is scheduled to visit Iran at the end of this week to sign memoranda of understanding.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry’s statement detailed that Mohammad Hussein Bahr al-Uloom, the Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, hosted Kazem Al-Sadegh, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, at the ministry’s headquarters.
The discussions between the two officials focused on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran. They outlined the agenda for Prime Minister al-Zubaidi’s upcoming visit to Tehran and discussed ongoing preparations, which include the signing of several memoranda of understanding. These agreements are expected to enhance bilateral relations and serve the common interests of both countries.
