Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, on Sunday, its full solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar following the earthquake that struck the country and the subsequent aftershocks that affected parts of Thailand and Vietnam, causing significant human and material losses.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the ministry conveyed “the Republic of Iraq, while expressing its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured, affirms its full support for friendly countries in this difficult ordeal,” emphasizing “the importance of cooperation and humanitarian solidarity to confront the repercussions of this natural disaster.”
The ministry appreciated “the great efforts made by rescue teams, medical personnel, and humanitarian workers to provide support and relief to those affected.”
