Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly denied allegations that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein delivered a message from US President Donald Trump to Iran. The Ministry addressed these rumors following the circulation of a report on various platforms claiming such an exchange took place.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry clarified that it had reviewed the report, which was initially published on a website and subsequently picked up by some media outlets under the headline “Trump gives Iran two weeks to withdraw its militias from Iraq.” The report suggested that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein was the intermediary for a message from President Trump to Iranian leadership on this issue.

The Ministry emphasized that the claims made in the report are unfounded and lack any official verification. It criticized the report as an example of unprofessional media conduct, accusing it of spreading false and misleading information with the intent to manipulate public opinion and tarnish Iraq’s image on the international stage.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that any credible information regarding Iraq’s foreign policy would be communicated through official statements and declarations issued by the Iraqi government and the Ministry itself. These statements are grounded in principles of transparency and adherence to international law, serving as the only trustworthy sources for such sensitive matters.
