Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Monday, that it had reached an agreement with the Turkish authorities to grant entry visas to stranded Iraqis.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry indicated that “an agreement has been reached with the Turkish authorities to grant entry visas to stranded Iraqis who have faced difficulties entering Turkish territory in recent days.”

The statement further elaborated that “this agreement comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to monitor the conditions of Iraqi citizens abroad, provide them with the necessary support, and continuously coordinate with relevant authorities in brotherly and friendly countries to overcome obstacles facing them.”

Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed “its continued role in protecting the interests of Iraqi citizens and providing them with all possible facilities through its missions abroad.”
