Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Ulum, discussed the course of bilateral relations with the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Iraq, Zubaydullah Zubaydzoda.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement: “During the meeting, the course of bilateral relations between the two countries, which will soon celebrate their thirtieth anniversary, was discussed.”
Undersecretary Bahr al-Ulum emphasized that relations between the two countries are historic, and that this rapprochement can be leveraged to advance them to the highest levels in the political, economic, cultural, and scientific fields.
For his part, the Tajik Ambassador praised the progress witnessed by Iraq, especially in the field of reconstruction, expressing his hope for increased cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting also addressed developments in regional and international situations and issues of common interest.
