Basra: Four people were arrested in Basra on drug trafficking charges, and 10 kilograms of hashish were seized. The General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances announced the arrest of four individuals accused of drug trafficking and the seizure of 10 kilograms of hashish in Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a press release that, “In a security operation, the Basra Narcotics Affairs Directorate was able to arrest four suspects and seize 10 kg of hashish after monitoring their movements and tracking them in the field.”

The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs affirmed that it continues its security and intelligence efforts to pursue drug traffickers, eliminate their sources of distribution, and refer the accused to the judiciary in accordance with the law.
