Gaza city: Four people were killed and others injured in an Israeli helicopter strike on a tent housing displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, located in the south of the Gaza Strip.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident took place amidst escalating tensions in the region. Additional reports indicated that six people were injured in a separate Israeli drone strike targeting another tent housing displaced persons near the British Hospital in Mawasi, Khan Yunis. The Israeli military activity did not stop there, as they reportedly blew up buildings east of Khan Yunis at dawn on Saturday.
In a separate incident in Gaza City, an Israeli strike targeting the Adnan Scientific School northwest of the city resulted in the death of a child and injuries to 10 others. The escalation continued with Israeli artillery targeting the eastern areas of the city, while Israeli boats fired shells toward the shores of Gaza City.
Recent footage revealed desperate attempts by people using primitive tools to retrieve the dead and missing from under the sand in Gaza City. This followed the Israeli bombing that buried the tents of the displaced, highlighting the dire situation faced by civilians in the region.
