Al-amara: The Maysan Governorate Police Command announced today the arrest of four suspects who assaulted and verbally abused medical personnel and the security detachment inside Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital in the center of Al-Amara.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the emergency police detachments within the Al-Karamah sector successfully apprehended four individuals involved in the assault on the hospital staff following the death of their father. In addition to attacking the medical personnel, the suspects also targeted a security detachment present at the scene.

Legal measures have been taken against the accused, and they have been referred to the judiciary. The judiciary decided to detain them in accordance with the provisions of Article 229 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
