France Congratulates Iraq on Successful Organization of Baghdad Summit


Baghdad: The Commander of the French Air Defense and Air Operations, Lieutenant General Laurent Rataud, extended his congratulations to the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, for the successful execution of the organizational plan for the recent Baghdad Summit.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Rataud met with Lieutenant General al-Muhammadawi at the Command headquarters in Baghdad, accompanied by the French military attach©. During this meeting, both officials reviewed aspects of military cooperation between France and Iraq. Al-Muhammadawi provided an in-depth briefing on the functions of the Joint Operations Command and the efforts being made to bolster security and stability within the region.



Lieutenant General al-Muhammadawi commended France’s effective role in supporting Iraq in its fight against terrorism, highlighting France’s significant contributions in training and armament. He noted that Iraq’s current security situation is experiencing remarkable stability, attributed to the sacrifices of the security forces and ongoing enhancement of armament capabilities and resources, which have collectively helped establish a stable and sustainable environment.



Lieutenant General Rataud expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received and congratulated Lieutenant General al-Muhammadawi on the successful organizational plan for the Baghdad Summit. He acknowledged the significant efforts of the Joint Operations Command and praised the notable advancements in the capabilities of Iraqi security and military forces, describing these developments as a qualitative leap in the growth of Iraq’s military institution.
